Michelin Warranty for Two Wheel Tyres

Michelin promises to deliver the very best and with over a century of designing tyres, we back that promise. Our tyres are made to meticulous quality standards. During manufacturing each tyre passes through a stringent quality control process.

Two Wheel (“Two Wheel” herein shall refer to motorcycle and scooter tyres) Tyres, manufactured under the authorized TM “MICHELIN”, used in normal service conditions and in accordance with the maintenance recommendations and safety warnings of Michelin, are covered by a warranty subject to the terms and conditions set out below.

a. The Warranty is valid for five (5) years from the date of purchase or 6 years from the date of manufacture, whichever is earlier. Date of purchase is documented by the original tyre sale invoice and the Warranty Card filled and duly stamped by an authorized Michelin dealer.

b. **Only tyres manufactured in India are covered in the Warranty.

c. Warranty applies only to damages on tyres, and not on tubes.

d. Warranty Card should be retained after the purchase and should be produced to invoke the Warranty. No Warranty shall be entertained in absence of a Warranty Card.

e. Tyres which become unserviceable under the following circumstances shall not be covered by this Warranty:

  • Repairable damage (like nail puncture, etc.)
  • Accident, fire, chemical explosion, tyre alteration, vandalism or
  • Tyres purchased from unauthorized dealers;
  • Tyre damages due to failure of non - Michelin tubes
  • Re-grooved tyres

f. The charges related to tyre fitting and unfitting, transportation charges, balancing charges and other taxes if any are not covered under the Warranty and shall be charged separately as applicable.

g. Upon receipt of a claim valid under the Warranty, Michelin may at its sole discretion supply an equivalent dimension as replacement, subject to the availability of the tyre on a pro rata basis;

h. Claimed tyres and/or tubes shall be inspected by Michelin authorised representative and their decision shall be final.

i. Michelin shall not be liable for any injury, death or consequential damage/loss suffered due to failure of tyre and/or tube.

j. Michelin retains the right to amend or modify the terms and conditions of the Warranty at any time without assigning any reason thereof.

k. Warranty terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India.
